Bulgarian Social Impact Group Latest News
Tulip Foundation organised a meeting of the Bulgarian Social Impact group on 20 May in Sofia. The gathering was kindly hosted by the House of the NGOs. At the core of the meeting was the theme about the recent changes in legislation concerning impact assessment in Bulgaria. Prof. Antony Galabov from New Bulgarian University, who was involved as an expert at the Parliamentary working group that developed the suggested amendments, was invited and joined the meeting. He presented the work of the working group and the recent developments and changes in the Law on administrative acts recently adopted by the 43 Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria. Members raised various questions and concerns about the amendments. The adoption of the final procedures yet is to be drafted and adopted.
Malina Slavova presented a guideline develop by Chance and protection association in cooperation with other NGOs working in social field and the Know How Centre at New Bulgarian University on “Involving target groups in assessment of the social impact of projects. The members of the group discussed the presented document and commented that the practical application of the guideline is only realistic after short training for organisations willing to apply it.
