Social Value International launches a new national network in Russia
On October 30th, the Russian Impact Measurement Group was launched at an event in Moscow, organised by CAF Russia. The event itself was well attended by people representing organisations from a range of sectors, including NGOs, foundations and business.
Jeremy Nicholls, CEO of Social Value International, was there to kick off proceedings. Jeremy said “it’s brilliant to have a country like Russia on board. Yulia and the team at CAF Russia have been doing some great work in SROI and helping organisations to account for their social and environmental impacts. We look forward to working with the team there to spread the word about social value, and help us in our overall mission to change the way society accounts for value.”
Russia are the latest country to become a National Network of Social Value International. Joining the likes of Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand and Canada, amongst others, Social Value Russia will be working with Social Value International’s growing membership to build good practice, capacity and awareness of the importance of the Principles of Social Value in decision making.
Yulia Romaschenko, CAF Russia’s Director for Programmes and Donor Relations, has said “There is growing interest in social impact measurement in all sectors in Russia, and we would like to help people learn more about social value and the principles for impact measurement promoted by SVI. We hope to bring together practitioners and supporters from all sectors to encourage and inspire them to use these principles to maximize the social value they create”.
