We spoke to Tim Edwards about his achievement!
Why have you decided to undertake the Social Value International Practitioner Pathway? What has lead to your application for Level 1 of Practitioner?
I recently completed the practitioner training and really enjoyed the experience. Given I have moved into consultancy, I wanted to back up my practical experience with a strong theoretical and conceptual understanding and seek validation of this through the practitioner programme
What did you learn and find useful from this assessment process?
It has been a very useful process that tested understanding across all the elements of the principles. It also asked a range of questions testing theoretical and practical application of the respective knowledge areas
Is there anything that you believe you will gain or find useful in the next steps you will take for working towards becoming an Accredited Practitioner?
I’m very much looking forward to using the additional knowledges gained through the programme in working with clients to develop their social value activities.
Are there any other specific projects you are doing at the moment that are related to SROI/social value?
I’ve been working with a Chamber of Commerce to develop an innovative new Social Value Charter based on the principles and standards established by SVI and SVUK
You have now joined a community of practice around the globe. What does this mean to you and why do you want to participate and contribute to the development of the methodology and overall social value movement?
It’s really helpful to be part of a larger community of practice to share ideas and contribute to the development of the Social value agenda. I’ve already benefitted through the programme and support provided especially during the COVID 19 period of limited personal contact via SVUK/SVI webinars etc.
I’m delighted to have achieved the milestone of achieving Level 1 Associate Practioner status with Social Value International, as part of my continuing professional development. I look forward to contributing to this agenda and use the skills and knowledge acquired with clients.Tim Edwards, Director, TJE Consulting
