About the Standards Committee
SVI is establishing a new Standards Committee to support the application of SVI’s Principles and Standards. Its purpose is to:
Oversee the development of SVI’s methodology, training and assurance
Review documents and processes that support the application of the Principles of Social Value
Act as the due diligence body on all standards and guidance published under SVI’s name.
The Committee will comprise 16 experienced social value practitioners who represent regions where SVI operates.
A new body to reflect shifts in demand
With the complete set of SVI Standards under a final consultation, SVI is shifting from producing more content to reviewing guidance and case studies that have been developed from across SVI’s community.
As a result, SVI is replacing the Methodology Sub-Committee with a new group, the Standards committee, to accommodate this shift.
Who can join the Standards Committee?
SVI welcomes Level 2 and 3 Accredited Practitioners to apply for a position on the Standards Committee, as well as former members of the Methodology Sub-Committee.
Commitment
Involvement in the Standards Committee is estimated to take up to five working days a year. Please note that this is a voluntary position.
More details of the expectations of the role can be found in this Terms of Reference.
