THIS MONTH’S SPOTLIGHT:

I’m a pragmatic optimist who supports organizations to define, achieve, and measure their goals and impact. I have implemented quality improvement or impact measurement processes with 50+ organizations across the fields of juvenile justice, anti-human trafficking, higher-education, the arts, disability and inclusion. I’m a level three SROI practitioner and accredited trainer with SVI.

I appreciate that social value centers the stakeholder’s voice and experience in determining what value an intervention is creating (or not creating). Knowing what matters most to participants allows programmes to prioritize and potentially further enhance their experience and outcomes.

I learned about SVI through my work with Quality Matters, one of the co-founders of Social Value Ireland. There is a lot of alignment or overlap between the SVI principles and the values that underpin our approach to impact measurement and evaluation so it was a natural fit.

The newsletters, webinars, and member events keep the principles of social value front of mind and make it easy to stay up-to-date with developments in the field. Being a member of SVI provides access to a community of researchers with shared values, doing similar work, that I can reach out to for examples or support.
